Tormenta20 online character sheet: prepare your first character
Prepare a Tormenta20 character sheet with a playable concept, references for the Jogo do Ano edition, and a checklist to review your character before the first session.
A Tormenta20 character sheet is easier to fill in when you know what your character will do in the first adventure. Who do they help? How do they respond to danger? Which decisions tend to get them into trouble? Those answers give your choices direction and make the finished sheet easier to review.
Mini Kraken's catalog includes a Tormenta 20 template. You can start there and prepare your character using the rules your group has chosen. This guide organizes that work and provides an original character concept; it does not replace the character creation rules.
Agree on an edition before filling in fields
Use the same reference as your game master. Jambô's Jogo do Ano edition is a revised version of Tormenta20. An older tutorial, a character from Tormenta RPG, and an option from a supplement may rely on different references.
At the start of preparation, write down:
- Which rulebook and version the group uses.
- The adventure's starting level.
- How attributes and starting resources will be determined.
- Which supplements and house rules are allowed.
These agreements fit naturally into session zero. If someone brings in another option later, record the decision alongside its reference. That helps two players avoid building characters under different assumptions and discovering the mismatch during combat.
Meet Iara, the carpenter who joined a caravan escort
Iara repaired wagons on a busy trade route. When a caravan returned without her brother, she left her workshop to escort travelers, searching for news while learning to fight beside other adventurers.
This is a concept, not a calculated character sheet. A human warrior is one possible direction; her origin and other choices still need to come from the options allowed at the table. The character creation chapter in the official Jogo do Ano preview introduces attributes, race, origin, and class as parts of that process. The linked publisher material is in Portuguese.
| Idea for Iara | What to select or record | What it contributes to a session | | --- | --- | --- | | She repaired wagons | A suitable origin and a note about her former work | A reason to talk with merchants | | She wants to protect travelers | Allowed options that support this role | A reason to cooperate with the party | | She is searching for her brother | His name, the last news of him, and someone who knew him | A lead the GM can bring into an adventure | | She fears leaving anyone behind | A short personality note | A difficult choice when retreat seems necessary |
A story detail does not grant a mechanical bonus by itself. If the available choices do not yet represent part of the concept, discuss it with the GM or adjust the idea. Our first character guide helps turn a story into decisions you can use at the table.
Fill in the sheet in an order you can check
Open the Tormenta 20 system page and start a sheet from the available template. Keep the rulebook nearby and finish one group of choices before moving to the next:
- Identity and concept. Record the name, starting level, a brief description, and the rules reference.
- Character choices. Note the options you selected and where they came from. Page references are useful when a question comes up.
- Attributes. Transfer the values after checking the creation method agreed with the group.
- Resources and actions. Organize the information you will need during play, including costs and conditions of use.
- Equipment and notes. Review what you selected, what is currently available, and which questions still need an answer.
In the attribute scale shown by the official rules summary, 0 represents the human average. Check the scale used by your source before transferring numbers from an older sheet. Strength 3 and Strength 16 are not interchangeable ways of filling in the same field.
The digital template is a starting point. A system appearing in the catalog does not mean that every supplement option or house rule is ready to select. To adapt the arrangement of fields and notes, see the modular character sheet guide.
Rehearse a short scene before your first session
Try a small situation: a wheel breaks on Iara's wagon near a bridge, and another traveler urgently needs to get through. Describe what she attempts, find the relevant information on the sheet, and confirm with the GM how to resolve the attempt.
Then try an action you expect to use often. Compare the displayed roll with your chosen reference, and check that you know where to track resources. The dice roller can also help you check a simple expression during this review.
This rehearsal is meant to uncover small difficulties: a missing cost, an unfinished choice, or information tucked into a section you rarely open. Fixing those before play leaves more session time for the decisions that matter to the adventure.
Your first-session checklist
- The GM knows which edition and options you used.
- Required choices for the starting level have been reviewed.
- You can find your usual actions without searching several pages.
- Current resources are distinct from their maximum values.
- Equipment, costs, and useful references are recorded.
- Your character has a reason to accompany the others.
Keep the initiative organization guide nearby for your first combat, too. If the group is still choosing a system, our Pathfinder 2e Remaster sheet guide describes a different preparation process with its own rules.
Iara already has a clear first objective: cross the bridge with the caravan and find someone who recognizes her brother's name. With her sheet reviewed, that question can begin moving the story forward.
