Meet Wyrt: the card game of Arton in Tormenta20

Discover Wyrt's place in Tormenta, its connection to Ahlen, and how to bring the game into an RPG session.

Wyrt is a card and dice game inside the world of Tormenta. For characters, it can be a noble pastime, a wager, or a reason to speak with someone who would otherwise turn adventurers away. For players, it makes Arton feel lived in beyond travel and combat.

The official Atlas de Arton describes Wyrt as a popular game in Ahlen, officially forbidden to commoners. The official Coração de Rubi adventure includes a “Partida de Wyrt” scene and a way to resolve it using Tormenta20.

Where does Wyrt come from?

Its fictional setting is Arton, especially Ahlen's culture of gambling and intrigue. That does not make the digital deck on this page an official Jambô product or a complete reproduction of any published rules. The sources cited here also do not establish a single real world creator or a first publication date; consult the credits of the specific book your table uses.

Is Wyrt a separate RPG system?

No. Tormenta20 is the RPG system; Wyrt is a game within its setting. The adventure scene uses Tormenta20 procedures, including tests justified by the characters' actions. A group may use that scene as a reference or describe a match and resolve its consequences with the rules already agreed on.

The official Tormenta20 rules summary introduces the system itself. Our first character guide helps with preparing a character.

Explore the cards

The Wyrt card tool lets you draw from a digital deck, pick a random card, and open a gallery of downloadable cards. It does not calculate winners, wagers, or Tormenta20 tests. Try showing one card and asking what it means to the character who received it. That answer can become a rumor, conversation, or challenge.
